General terms and conditions

By renting with Every Occasion, you agree and consent to the following terms and conditions.

We reserve the right to alter/add to our terms and conditions as we see fit. The renter is responsible for ensuring they are aware of the current terms and conditions when renting. Prices and deals are subject to change at any time.

Every Occasion is always the legal owner of all garments.

The rented garment must only be worn by the renter, unless Every Occasion has provided explicit approval for other arrangements.

Rentals are not confirmed until payment has been received in full. Holds will not be offered.

Booking cancellations are possible 3+ days before the rental date, unless it has already been sent or collected. This will be reimbursed with store credit.

Every Occasion has the right to refuse service to anyone at any point without explanation.

All photos of yourself in the garment that are posted to social media can be reposted unless you have requested otherwise.  

 

Damage

If the garment is damaged upon return, the renter is liable to pay for all associated dry cleaning or repair costs. Damage includes (but is not limited to) stains, rips, broken zips, burn holes and discolouration.

If the required repairs or damage affect any future rentals for this garment, the renter will be required to cover the cost of these as well.

If the garment is lost/stolen or the damage is beyond repair, the renter is liable to pay for the full RRP of the garment or a replacement fee that Every Occasion may deem as appropriate.

Replacement fee payments must be made within 30 days of your rental date. Payment plans can be created to suit the renter's needs.

Under no circumstances will the renter be able to keep the garment.  

 

Rentals requiring postage

Rentals are posted off 2-5 days before the renter's event with overnight courier.

Posting a rental is at risk of the renter, we are not liable for the garment after it has been posted.

If the garment does not arrive in time for your event due to reasons out of Every Occasion’s control, no credit will be given.

Post rentals close at 7am Wednesday for that weekend, unless specified otherwise. Late bookings (for weekend events) placed after 7am Wednesday will not receive compensation.

The renter will specify if the garment is needed before your event date (eg. you are leaving your residential address before the event). This can be done by contacting us on email or Instagram (below) to arrange a solution.

If the rental arrives after the renter has left your address but before your event and you have failed to disclose this information, no store credit or refunds will be offered.

Refunds will not be given if the renter fails to provide the correct postal address or select the incorrect shipping option. The renter must ensure that all information provided is correct when placing an order.

If the return bag provided is lost, the renter must contact Every Occasion immediately to arrange an alternative option. The rental must be posted with overnight courier and the tracking number needs to be sent to us. The renter is liable to pay for any extra postage costs as a result of this.

You are required to drop the rental over a post office counter before 4pm the following business day after your event. This must not be put in a drop box as this will delay the parcel. Failure to follow either of these return instructions, will result in a late fee being issued daily.

 

Pick up/drop off rentals

Local rentals must be dropped back the day after your event before 8pm.

If this is not possible, please contact us via email or Instagram to organise an alternative option before you collect the rental.

If you do not follow the correct return instructions and the dress is stolen, the renter is liable to pay for the full RRP of the garment.

If the renter is unable to drop the dress back and require postage, this must be disclosed before collecting the dress. The rental must be posted before 4pm the next business day after your event. (If the rental is posted late, the late fees will accrue from Sunday onwards, since this is the date your rental was due to be returned). 

If the renter fails to return the rental as instructed above, a late fee will be issued daily.

 

Late fees

If the rental is not returned within the timeframe declared above (via post or drop off), the renter will be charged a late fee of $15 per day. The fee will be issued daily until the rental is returned, and the late fee is paid. 

If the garment is not returned within 5 days or another customer misses out on their rental due to the garment being returned late, the renter is liable to pay the rental price on top of the associated late fee charges.

If the garment is not returned within 10 days, the renter is liable to pay the full RRP of the garment.

The garment must still be returned in either instance.

 

Refunds

The renter will not receive a refund or store credit if the rental does not fit as desired. Please refer to size guides and recommended sizes to avoid this situation.

If you would like more information about the fit or measurements of specific garments, please feel free to contact us through Instagram or email.

The renter will not receive a refund if your posted rental does not arrive in time for your event.

If the renter changes their mind about a booking or your event is cancelled, store credit will be offered (your cancellation must occur 3+ days prior to your event). If the garment has already been posted or picked up, the renter will not receive a refund or store credit.

Resolutions will be offered if the garment arrives damaged (this damage does not include the damage disclosed in the product description). Photo evidence must be emailed to us within 4 hours of you receiving the garment via post, or within 4 hours of the dress being collected. The garment must be dropped back or posted the following business day and unworn before the resolution is provided.

If you have any issues with your rental once it has arrived/been picked up, please get in touch within 4 hours of receiving the dress so we can assess compensation. Do not expect compensation if you let us know after you have worn the rental. 

 

Store credit

Store credit issued will expire if Every Occasion closes for business, or after 1 year (whichever comes first).

 

General wear

Please be extremely careful when wearing our rentals and treat them as you would treat your own. If possible, please avoid smoking areas as well freshly applied tan as these instances can damage the garment.

The renter will not wash the garment themselves, or organise dry cleaning. If damage occurs, the renter will inform Every Occasion as soon as possible.

The renter will not complete alterations themselves, or have these completed by another person, without Every Occasion's knowledge. We reserve the right to collect payment for damages and/or garment replacement.
